If you're looking for the ultimate Chevrolet Corvette track car, forget the new 755-horsepower (563-kilowatt) ZR1 because Germany's Geiger Cars now offers circuit-prepped variant of the Z06 Carbon 65 Edition. Not only does it come with a safety harness and roll cage, but the firm also manages to massage the 6.2-liter supercharged V8 to an impressive 759 hp (566 kW) and 729 pound-feet (989 Newton-meters) of torque.
Geiger Cars keeps much of the carbon fiber that makes the Carbon 65 Edition special and then adds even more of the lightweight material. The body kit includes a new front end with a revised grille for better airflow, fender vents, tweaked side skirts, and Geiger's own rear sub-frame with an integrated diffuser. Buyers also get to pick from three flavors of rear spoilers, ranging from a subtle flat piece to a full racing setup. The firm's changes provide an aggressive appearance but without being overly flamboyant.
Inside, the tuner installs four-point racing harnesses and a Heigo roll bar.
To boost the standard Z06 from its stock 650 horsepower (485 kW), Geiger Cars replaces the standard 1.7-liter Eaton supercharger with a 2.3-liter screw-type unit. The company also revises the throttle, intake, and the engine's software. The stock eight-speed automatic or seven-speed manual remain in place. The result is a coupe that can reach 62 miles per hour (100 kilometers per hour) in 2.9 seconds and a max speed of 209 mph (337 kph) – versus 210 mph (338 kph) from Chevy's own ZL1.
Geiger Cars expects people to use these cars at the track, and it makes a variety of upgrades to make sure that fulfill that intention. Modifications for the powertrain cooling systems make the coupe more reliable for lapping a circuit. The firm also fits revised suspension knuckles, which also lower the ride height, and offers more powerful brakes. A set of HRE wheels come with either Michelin Pilot Super Sport or Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.
The company sells these upgrades a la carte, and the costs grow quickly. The carbon fiber bodykit is 9,600 euros ($11,500 at current exchange rates); the engine upgrade goes for 12,900 euros ($15,400), improved cooling runs 15,500 euros ($18,500); suspension revisions are 4,290 euros ($5,120); HRE wheels sell for 7,400 euros ($8,830); the roll bar costs 2,600 euros ($3,100), and the Schroth racing harness is 1,099 euros ($1,300). In total, these improvements are 53,389 euros ($63,700), and Geiger Cars can sell German customers the Z06 Carbon 65 Edition for 136,000 euros (162,250). Buyers also get a two-day driving course at the Nürburgring Nordschleife.

To mark the 65th anniversary of the Corvette, the fathers of this iconic American sports car have brought out a special, limited-edition model based on the Grand Sport and Z06 models. In line with the anniversary, only 650 specimens of the “Carbon 65 Edition” will be shipped, already equipped with a sumptuous carbon fiber package at the factory. This includes a hood with visible carbon fiber, as well as side skirts, a targa top, a rear spoiler, and air intakes, all with visible carbon fiber, carbon flash emblems, and a carbon fiber interior, including running boards with Carbon 65 lettering.

The Geiger visible carbon fiber aerodynamics kit includes a front spoiler for the car’s typically aggressive nose, a front grille to enhance the passage of air, as well as air intakes in the front mask. The “Trackday Racer” cooling system package from GeigerCars, which includes modified charge air, cooling water and oil cooler systems, optimizes both the efficiency of the supercharger as well as the equipment temperatures.
On the axles, GeigerCars attaches 10.5x19 and 12.5x20 inch light metal wheels from the product range of the American high-end label HRE Performance Wheels. For the treads on these forged one-piece wheels, there is an option of standard 285/30R19 Michelin Pilot Super Sport rubber on the steering axle and 335/25R20 on the drive axle, or Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 sport tires in the same sizes for an even better grip on the road.
By using a modified knuckle to lower the suspension setting, GeigerCars not only gives the carbon fiber racer an aggressively crouching look, but also optimizes its driving dynamics without diminishing the riding comfort of the standard vehicle.
While the standard Corvette Z06 Carbon 65 Edition not only comes with the option of an eight-speed automatic transmission or a seven-speed gearshift, but can also be equipped with ceramic brakes in place of the conventional steel brakes, GeigerCars also offers an upgrade to an even more powerful, more efficient brake system.
GeigerCars also upgrades the cockpit in keeping with the racetrack character of the Corvette Z06 Geiger Carbon 65 Edition bullet. For instance, the bucket seats are surrounded by a Heigo roll bar and combined with Schroth four-point belts, which keeps passengers safely in place even at extreme g-forces.
