Infiniti will premiere two new models at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance - possibly a four-cylinder G model and a performance variant of the G37 both based on the G sedan.

Infiniti has denied that they are working on a two-door coupe variant of the new 2011 M sedan.

An Infiniti spokesperson told AutomobileMag that the idea is "so far off the charts, it's incredible." That seems like a pretty solid denial.

But they are working on two new models, which we see in the teaser sketches published here, that will premiere at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in August.

It's hard to look at those two sketches and say anything except, "Seriously? We're supposed to glean something from this?" But, unfortunately that is all there is. So we have to take Infiniti at their word when they say these are "product extensions" (meaning each is based on an existing model?), one of which will be a "volume-oriented" premium vehicle and the other a "performance-oriented" one.

Both will apparently be based on the G sedan - perhaps a four-cylinder G model and a performance variant of the G37? We will have to wait until Pebble Beach to find out.

The Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance will take place Sunday August 15 in Pebble Beach, CA.
