Our spies have caught new pictures of the Mercedes SLS AMG Roadster.
Undergoing testing at the Nurburgring Nordschleife, the prototype looks virtually production ready. While it's still wearing some camouflage, we can clearly see the roadster will lose the iconic gullwing doors for more traditional units. Despite this change, everything else remains faithful to the coupe.
Under the hood, power will be provided by a naturally aspirated 6.3-liter (6,208cc) V8 with 420 kW (571 PS / 563 hp) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque. This should allow the roadster to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.0 seconds, before topping out at approximately 309 km/h (192 mph).
Look for the SLS AMG Roadster to launch in 2011.
