Here are the latest set of spy pics of the upcoming facelifted Ford Mondeo, caught doing some road testing somewhere in Europe.

By the masking that Ford has placed on the front and rear ends of the car we can see that there will be a substantial amount of change to the Mondeo's styling, including a new grill. Our spy photographer notes we can get a better look now at the new rear lights too. The inside lamp housings mounted on the luggage lid are still covered but we can start to make out the differences to the current model. Also a possibility are integrated LED lights for the rear.

The facelifted Ford Mondeo may also come available with the brand's 2.0 liter EcoBoost gasoline/petrol engine with 203 PS (149 kW) now featured in the Galaxy model. A line of diesels will also be on offer, with Ford's 2.0 liter TDCi engine tuned to either 115, 140 or 163 PS (85, 103, 120 kW, respectively).

The new Ford Mondeo is expected to debut later this year, perhaps at the Paris auto show in September.
