Panoz has released a new teaser image of the Abruzzi "Spirit of Le Mans" sports car.
While we can't gather a lot of details from the picture, the Abruzzi will feature hood vents, bulging fenders, and distinctive taillights.
The body will be constructed from a special REAMS (Recyclable Energy Absorbing Matrix System) material, which offers "unprecedented environmental, performance and structural advantages."
Elsewhere, the Abruzzi will feature a ‘trifecta' cooling system. Designed to improve engine performance and efficiency, the system consists of a traditional high-efficiency radiator and two other cooling units (which lower the coolant temperature before entering and exiting the radiator).
According to Don Panoz, "We are truly excited about the Panoz Abruzzi - not only about the design and performance of the car - but by the whole concept it represents. The styling is inspired from a classic era when racers would literally drive their own cars to Le Mans to compete and then drive back home. However, the technology of the Panoz Abruzzi ‘Spirit of Le Mans' is absolutely leading-edge."
Look for more information to be released when the car is officially unveiled at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
