According to a recent report, the 2012 Chevrolet Camaro will receive a "substantially reworked interior."
A GM insider, speaking to Straightline, has stated most of the work will go towards improving the dash. This likely means it will feature higher quality materials and additional styling details.
As you may recall, the Camaro has been criticized for having low-rent materials and over-stylized components. Key offenders are the steering wheel (which looks great, but is horrible to hold) and the console-mounted auxiliary gauges (a nice retro touch, but they're hard to read).
So why is GM waiting until 2012? The insider says that's when the 556 hp (415 kW / 564 PS) Camaro Z28 will be released.
