New Zagato and Alfa Romeo racer is inspired by the Alfa Romeo TZ and TZ2 of old. The TZ3 Corsa is based on the the 8C Competizione.
Here is a teaser image of the upcoming Alfa Romeo TZ3 Corsa from Italian carrozzeria (coach builder) Zagato Atelier.
A frequent and storied coach building partner to the Italian automaker Alfa Romeo, Zagato provided this overhead shot of the TZ3 Corsa, inspired by the Alfa Romeo TZ and TZ2 of old. The car was commissioned by a 'gentleman racer' of German nationality.
Set to be introduced at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este, the TZ3 Corsa is actually based on the 8C Competizione. It's tubular chassis is a mono shell made out of carbon fiber with a lightweight aluminum body laid over it.
The TZ3 Corsa will be premiered at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este which takes place from April 23 to 25 on the banks of Lake Como in Cernobbio, Italy.
