While there doesn't appear to be any major styling changes, the updated M3 will feature new LED taillights.
With recent unveiling of the 2011 3-Series Coupe and Convertible, our spies have snapped new photos of the updated M3 Coupe.
While there doesn't appear to be any major styling changes, we can clearly see new LED taillights and possibly a wider grille. Despite the fact that this mule is equipped with pre-facelift headlights, there is speculation that the model will receive LED 'corona ring' daytime running lights.
Inside, the interior isn't expected to be a radical departure from the current model. It will likely boast revised trim, additional metal accents, and ambiance lighting.
Under the hood, power will be provided by a 4.0-liter V8 with 414 bhp (420 PS / 309 kW) and 295 lb-ft of torque. This should allow the M3 Coupe to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.7 seconds (4.5 seconds with the seven-speed M double-clutch transmission), before topping out an electrically limited 155 mph.
Look for a possible unveiling at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
