Renault's 1:43 scale model of a Twingo CC is out in public. Called the Renault Wind the car features a retractable roof and shows how the topless Twingo will look when it goes into production.

A 1:43 scale model Renault Twingo CC has appeared. The little car, dubbed the Wind, is certain to be the long-awaited topless Twingo. Last time with saw the hairdresser's runabout was back in March 2009 during a spy operation. It was meant to appear at last year's Geneva Motor Show but now it looks like it may very well make this year's event.

Wind is probably not its final name; that should be released along with official details in Geneva. What we do know is that it is a two-seat roadster with a metal roof. It will be powered by a range of engines including the 74kW (100hp) 1.2 TCE and a 98kW (133hp) 1.6 motor. Turbo diesel engines could also be on the cards, but this is still uncertain.
