Pricing, standard, and optional equipment has been revealed for the North American-spec 2011 BMW ActiveHybrid 7. Details inside.
BMW has announced US pricing for the 2011 BMW ActiveHybrid 7-Series. Shown off earlier in the year at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the 7er hybrid will hit American showrooms following its continental debut at the Los Angeles International Auto Show.
Pricing for the saloon will begin at $103,125, including destination. The long wheelbase model will go for a minimum of $107,025. Each comes with a 455hp (335kW) 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine paired to an electric motor making combined peak torque of 516lb-ft (700Nm). Overall, 0-60mph arrives in a stunning 4.7 seconds and achieves a 15-17 percent improvement in fuel efficiency compared to the 750i.
Made more efficient with automatic start/stop, an eight-speed automatic transmission comes standard, along with Alcantara headliner, ventilated front seats, leather dash, and 19-inch wheels. Bumping up to 20-inchers will cost another $1,300.
Although a sound system is included, you have to shell out a whopping $400 if you want an iPod and USB adaptor. An upgrade to satellite radio will set customers back $350. Add $2,200 for rear seat entertainment, and another $600 for a six-disc DVD changer.
