New Mercedes E-Class Cabriolet likely headed for a debut at the Los Angeles auto show. New E-Class Cabrio will not have an AMG performance variant since Mercedes has cancelled the AMG version of the E-Class Coupe.

Adhesive "peel-away" plastic wrap is commonly used on vehicles to protect exterior panel surfaces from debris while being transported. During dealer prep, they simply peel it away in a matter of minutes.
The new E-Class Cabrio will be sharing its power plants with the Coupe version. That would inlcude the 3.5 liter V6 with 292 hp (215 kW) and a 5.5 liter V8 engine with 388 hp (285 kW). No performance variant of the Cabriolet is expected since Mercedes has cancelled the AMG E-Class Coupe.
