Team reserve Kamui Kobayashi will again replace Toyota's regular race driver Timo Glock as the 2009 season concludes in Abu Dhabi this weekend.

German Glock, 27, cut his leg and cracked a vertebra in a Suzuka qualifying crash earlier this month, and had to sit out the Japanese and Brazilian races.

His manager Hans Bernd Kamps said at the weekend that Glock's chances of returning to the cockpit in Abu Dhabi were "90 per cent".

But Toyota team president John Howett said on Tuesday: "Having discussed the medical advice with Timo and his management, the team has decided to take no risk and to put Kamui in the car.

"We feel genuinely sorry for Timo that his season, which has included two impressive podium finishes, is ending in this way," he added in the media statement.
