Mitsubishi is exhibiting the Mitsubishi PX-MiEV Concept at the 41st Tokyo Motor Show. The plug-in hybrid has two motors making 82hp and a gas engine pushing 116hp.
The Outlander-looking four-seat Mitsubishi PX-MiEV Concept is charging up at Tokyo. The 4.5m long, 1.8m wide crossover comes with a "cocochi" (cozy in Japanese slang) interior with advanced seat upholstery that deactivates allergens, the new S-AWC (Super All Wheel Control) and a plug-in hybrid system.
Power is supplied by two electric motors producing 60kW (82hp) and 200Nm of torque. They are combined with a 1.6-litre petrol engine with 85kW (116hp) and 125Nm. Fuel efficiency is quoted at 2 l/100km (117mpg US) due to the powertrain and regenerative braking. Recharging can be done in a domestic environment while the vehicle itself can be used to power certain home appliances.
