It’s made in conjunction with iCandy, and it debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

Land Rover wants parents to know that it’s never too soon to introduce youngsters to the wonders of off-roading. In this instance, off-roading doesn’t refer to actual excursions in a Land Rover, but rather, excursions that happen outside the vehicle. For 99.99 percent of parents with young children, this process is simply known as walking with a stroller. But die-hard outdoorsy types might feel their babies and toddlers are unprepared for such adventures without the confidence of a dedicated off-road carriage.

To answer that call, Land Rover has partnered with iCandy to create a Land Rover-based all-terrain stroller. It’s called the iCandy Peach All-Terrain Special Edition pushchair, and it costs $2,000.

We’ll leave up to you, dear reader, to decide if this stroller is worth the price of a rusty-but-trusty four-wheel drive pickup that can actually go off-road. Before you make that call, however, here’s what you need to know about this go-anywhere conveyance for kiddos who haven’t quite mastered the ability to walk: It has four wheels, a place for baby to sit, handles for parents to push, a hood to shield the youngster from sun and rain, and a “one-of-a-kind ruck sack” that Land Rover says offers “extra practicality for adventurous parents.”

To that end, Land Rover also says the stroller is a tribute to the capability of its vehicles, incorporating design cues from Land Rover models. For example, the familiar Land Rover grille pattern is represented in the hood fabric, and seat stitching matches what you find throughout the company’s line of vehicles. Seriously, look at the stitching – can you see the resemblance?

Land Rover revealed this new stroller at the Frankfurt Motor Show, which according to the automaker is the first time such a debut has taken place at the event. It goes on sale next spring through Land Rover and iCandy outlets.

We can think of a number of actual off-road vehicles one could buy for $2,000, but to be fair, deluxe strollers in this price range and higher aren’t uncommon. Do you think this a neat accessory for Land Rover-loving parents, or a cheesy grab to bank some coin off Land Rover’s name?
