Porsche offers many of its assistance system separately, which causes the price to grow quickly when picking options.
The 2019 Porsche Cayenne Turbo isn’t available from your local dealer yet, but the automaker already has the configurator available to imagine how the high-performance crossover might look in your garage. The model carries a base price of $124,600, and the $1,050 destination charge means that it takes at least $125,650 to drive one out of the showroom. With $40,660 in available options, you can take the cost as high as $166,310 for a fully loaded example of the new Cayenne Turbo.
For the exterior, Porsche offers the Cayenne Turbo in six available colors: White, Carrera White Metallic, Jet Black Metallic, Biscay Blue Metallic, Mahogany Metallic, and Moonlight Blue Metallic. For the Turbo, all of them are no-cost options. In addition to the standard 21-inch dual-spoke wheels, there are also a set of 21-inch RS Spyder Design Wheels for $1,250 and 21-inch Cayenne Turbo Wheels in Satin Platinum in $1,900, and both include wheel arch extensions.
There are plenty of additional accessories to add to the exterior, too. LED-Matrix Headlights add $1,200, and glass with thermal and noise insulation goes for $1,130. Soft-close doors carry a price of $780. For an aesthetic upgrade, there are $1,560 stainless steel front and rear skid plates, and Gloss Black or Satin Aluminum roof rails with sliding roof bars cost $1,110. Gloss Black window trim adds a final flourish for $270.
The interior is similarly customizable. Black or Slate Grey leather are no-cost options, but two-tone Black and Mojave Beige are $430. On the Cayenne Turbo, 14-way power seats and 18-way adaptive sport seats also carry no additional cost.
There are plenty more interior personalization choices, too. Buyers can also add amenities like front and rear seat ventilation and four-zone climate control for $1,700 and $990 respectively. An upgrade to a 21-speaker Burmester sound system costs $5,810. Colored seatbelts in shades like Slate Grey, Graphite Blue, Truffle Brown, Cohiba Brown, Chalk, and Bordeaux Red are $660.
Unlike many automakers, Porsche offers its driver assistance and performance systems à la carte, which means the costs add up quickly. For example, a driver wanting to maximize enjoyment behind the wheel would want the $3,590 Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control, $1,620 Rear Axle Steering, $5,580 Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake, $1,500 Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus, and $1,130 Sport Chrono Package. Customers who put a high value on safety might value items like the $2,420 Night Vision Assist, $950 Lane Change Assist, $2,000 Adaptive Cruise Control, and $1,200 front and rear ParkAssist with surround view.
These options don’t alter the Cayenne Turbo’s powertrain combination of a 542-horsepower (404 kilowatts) 4.0-liter biturbo V8 and eight-speed automatic gearbox. With the Sport Chrono Package, the big SUV gets to 60 miles per hour (96 kilometers per hour) in 3.7 seconds. Orders for the new model will begin in the U.S. in December, and deliveries will start next year.
