An all-black exterior and 635-horsepower engine keeps the outgoing supercar fresh.
The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG is gone, and it will be missed. Production lasted just four years before it was eventually replaced by the more modern AMG GT. But one tuner isn’t exactly ready to part ways with the beloved Benz just yet. Inden Design out of Germany has come up with a kit that keeps the spirit of the SLS AMG alive for a few more years following its death.
From a detailing standpoint, the shop says that it’s the "world’s most advanced SLS AMG." And we believe it. The supercar was completely dismantled down to the frame, with all of the original Black Series parts undergoing a lavish refinishing and reassembling process. Everything from the front apron, to the hood, and even the side sills were subject to upgrade.

A similar treatment was given to the engine compartment and interior, the latter of which comes finished with the factory carbon package. An "ice-blast" treatment was applied to the entire underbody, with a number of the original parts coated in a durable plastic laminate. But don’t think all of these upgrades are just skin deep.
A set of KW suspension coils were added, as was as a stainless steel exhaust system, and a set of exclusive BBS-F1 rims – coated in gloss black, naturally. The 6.2-liter V8 under the hood has been massaged to produce 635 horsepower (467 kilowatts) thanks to an MKB tune, a healthy 64 hp (47 kW) increase over the factory model.
All said and done, this aftermarket SLS AMG is one mean-looking machine, and though the shop doesn’t give a price for the package, it’s safe to say that the amount of detail included won’t come cheap. When new, the SLS AMG cost as much as $200,000.

For an extended period of time, Inden Design is the most important preeminent in the vehicle and tuning scene. Located in Rennerod in Rhineland Palatinate, vehicles of the brand Ferrari, Porsche and Mercedes - as well as other high-end automobiles - are becoming intensified and upgraded under the guidance of Joe Inden. Lately, business owner Joe Inden was able to fulfill his own personal dream. The SLS AMG Black Series SLS AMG is the world's most advanced SLS AMG. As for now the project is broadly outlined as covering every detail would be too extensive.
As the first step is the entire vehicle is dismantled. All Mercedes AMG original parts of the Black Series - starting at the front apron, the hood, the fenders, the side sills up to the rear apron - have been lavishly coated and reassembled. The side parts - which are the connectors between the side sills and the rear apron - are made of carbon and have been specially tailored. Utmost preciseness and great skills are key in this field.
Subsequent, the interior and the engine compartment are fully equipped with the complete carbon package of the Black Series. But the boss was not happy with the "standard" - the vehicle was suppose to be even more unique.
Ice-blast technology has been applied to the entire underbody and many parts were coated or plastic laminated. Additionally, a set of KW suspension coil springs and a stainless steel exhaust system. The exclusive BBS-F1 rims - only available at Inden Design 10,0Jx20 with 265 / 30R20 on the front axle and 12, 5Jx21 with 325 / 25R21 on the rear axle complete the overall look. Even the power output has not been neglected. Thanks to MKB the original 571 HP (= 420 kW) made for an enormous 635 hp (= 467 kW) in total.
Bottom line: Many hours of hard work are paid off at the end. Thanks to the outstanding accuracy and experience of Joe Inden, after the upgrade the basic vehicle is indistinguishable from the original Black Series top-of-the-range model. Absolute perfection from top to bottom. In the end the clientele can take pleasure in this truly one of a kind and unique piece of automobile craftsmanship.
