The China division of Lexus has launched the new facelifted range of ES models to its domestic market. Four models are currently available, including the 277hp ES 350 Ultra Luxury.
Lexus China is presenting the new facelifted ES 240 and ES 350 sedans. Both are available immediately through the company's network of 53 dealerships in 43 cities all across China. The range consists of an ES 350 Ultra Luxury, an ES 350 Luxury, an ES 240 Luxury and an ES 240 Elegance.
These are fifth generation models for the ES range and feature a lower air-inlet grille matching the sharp appearance of the front light, a smooth waistline and 17-inch ten-spoke alloy wheels. All the variants apart from the ES 240 Elegance, come with a panoramic moonroof.
The ES 350 range has a 24-valve DOHC engine with VVT-i that produces 204kW (277hp) and peak torque of 346Nm at 4,700rpm. It is equipped with a 6-speed ECT-i automatic transmission and can run from 0 - 100km/h in 7 seconds, topping off at 230km/h.
The lower-priced ES 240 is fitted with a four-cylinder 16V motor that puts out 123kW (167hp) and 224Nm of maximum torque. Its acceleration time from 0 - 100km/h is 10.4 seconds and the top end is 205km/h (127mph).
Luxury versions of each car include the Lexus G-BOOK which keeps the cars connected to the Lexus service network and services such as anti-theft tracking and roadside assistance are instantly accessible to it.
Inside features include top class leather seats, the dual-zone automatic climate control system and a Hard Disk Drive (HDD) navigation system while safety is taken care of by such equipment as 10 air bags, ABS brakes and the Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) system.
