Spyker's long awaited D8 Peking-to-Paris has been spied ahead of a possible Frankfurt debut.

Spyker's long awaited D8 Peking-to-Paris has been spied ahead of a possible Frankfurt debut.

Looking virtually identical to the D12 Peking-to-Paris Concept, which debuted way back in 2006, the D8 PP arrives at a time when SUVs have fallen out of favor with many consumers. Regardless, the sport-ute features traditional Spyker styling with an aggressive profile and massive wheels.

While we can't get a good glimpse of the interior, the D8 appears to adopt the concept's glass roof and uniquely styled four-seat cabin.

As the name change implies, the production Peking-to-Paris will feature a V8 instead of the concept's 500hp W12 engine from Volkswagen. While nothing is official, rumors have indicated that the D8 will use the 556hp supercharged 6.2-liter V8 from the Cadillac CTS-V.
