Audi has announced official pricing for the 2010 Audi S5, but can they get the car out while summer is still here?
Audi has formally announced UK pricing for the 2010 Audi S5 convertible. The flagship model will start at £42,245, including all taxes and fees.
The real news here is Audi's inability to get the car on the road during the summer months, considered the prime cabrio purchasing season. Sadly, the S5 will not be delivered until October at the earliest, meaning new customers will be praying for an influx of global warming to show off a lowered ragtop.
Using a 333 PS supercharged V6 TFSI, the fun car makes use of a robust 440 Nm of torque when getting the car to 62 mph. The car completes the sprint in 5.6 seconds, with a limited top speed of 155 mph. The vehicle gets a combined mpg of 29.1, while emitting 224 grams of carbon per kilometer.
If the weather is good enough to lower down the top, it will only take you 15 seconds to do so. If it starts raining (after all, this is the U.K. we're talking about), you can raise the top back up in 17 seconds. Either way, you only have to slow down to 31 mph to change the top's status.
