The 647-horsepower supercar looks good in black and orange.

Only a few lucky customers were able to get their hands on the 2017 Ford GT supercar. Naturally, former talk show host and founder of YouTube series Jay Leno’s Garage, Jay Leno, was one of the few selected. He does own a 2005 GT, a Shelby GT350R, and a few other Ford products that give him some credit with Ford, apart from his obvious celebrity ties.

Finished in black with orange stripes, Leno’s GT looks strikingly similar to the first Ford GT built, which the company said would be used for marketing purposes exclusively. In an effort to provide a bit more detail on his six-figure supercar, Leno takes us through the supercar, step by step.

Everything from the unique configuration box, to photos of the build throughout the process, the GT is detailed top to bottom. Leno also notes that he opted not to order the titanium exhaust, a $10,000 option that only saved about 10 pounds (4.5 kilograms) from the final curb weight.

More From Ford:

Taking delivery of his Ford GT in May, Leno was one of the first customers to receive the new supercar. He was spotted multiple times with the car around California before making it official debut on his YouTube channel in early June. Jay was even lucky enough to host the Le Mans-winning GT race car in his garage just a few days prior to delivery.

Leno’s GT is the 12th example off the line, matching the build slot of his previous-generation GT, and wears the license plate "BK2LMNS," short for "Back to Le Mans." Like all Ford GT’s that will undoubtedly come after it, this one is powered by a 3.5-liter biturbo V6 good for 647 horsepower (482 kilowatt). Power is sent to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, allowing it a sprint to 60 miles per hour (96 kilometers per hour) in just 3.0 seconds, and continue on to a top speed of 216 mph (347 kmh).
