The Dacia Sandero Stepway has been officially announced for the European market. It features either a 1.6-litre 90hp engine or a 70hp turbo diesel motor.
Dacia has lifted the lid off the Sandero Stepway simultaneously in Barcelona Motor Show and at the L'Atelier Renault showroom in Paris. The four-metre long Dacia Sandero Stepway is the European version of the Renault Sandero Stepway which has sold 2,700 units in Brazil and Argentina since its launch in November 2008.
Features include a raised body, a satin-finish chrome front end, 16-inch alloy wheels, rear skid plate and sills, and chrome longitudinal roof bars. The rear has a sporty chrome exhaust tailpipe. The car comes with three metallic paint colours which are called Feu red, Comète grey and Platine grey. Two safety features worth highlighting are the ABS braking system with EBD and airbags for the driver as well as the front passenger.
In the engine bay lies either 1.6-litre 90hp petrol engine or 70hp dCi motor. The former has an average fuel consumption of 7.6 litres per 100km while the latter works up a thriftier proposition with its 5.3 litres per 100km average. Its C02 emissions are 140g/km.
Interested European buyers will be able to start ordering their Sandero Stepway from July and thereafter expect deliveries from September.
