Even the craftiest tuning firms in the world cannot seem to escape the obligations thrust on them by the environment. BRABUS is one such tuner who has ackowledged this paradigm shift. Previously we've seen BRABUS wave their wand over the Tesla Roadster EV and now at the Geneva Motor Show this respected tuning firm exhibits another small step towards eco-friendliness with a dash of city driving fun.

Already performing viability tests in London, Berlin, Paris, Rome, Milan and Pisa, the smart fortwo electric drive starts production towards the end of the year with lithium-ion batteries supplied by Tesla Motors. So, it's no surprise well known Mercedes Group tuner BRABUS is already pitching a styling package.

Smart cars are already quiet by design so BRABUS saw it fit to reintroduce an engineered sound effect for the car not only to help alert pedestrians of its impending arrival as they approach but also to please the occupants.

A sport suspension is installed, so are BRABUS Monoblock VII split six-spoke alloy wheels, leather and cloth fabrics in green and white colours. The open-air design of the cabriolet soft-top smart lends itself to those extra feelings of clean outdoor driving.

No dates were given but BRABUS is definitely planning on putting this little greenie into the production line some time in the future.
