Mazda has released a new video featuring their upcoming Mazda3 MPS which will be officially unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show next month. The company promises that the new MPS will build upon the success of the previous model while offering a whole new level of quality and driver satisfaction.

The new Mazda3 MPS will be powered by a 2.3-liter turbocharged engine that produces 260 horsepower and 280 lb-ft (380 Nm) of torque. Thanks to direct injection, the new model will offer improved fuel economy and reduced emissions that allow the MPS to be rated as a Euro Stage 5 vehicle.

Scheduled to go on sale shortly after its Geneva debut, expect the new model to do battle with performance versions of the Opel Astra and Volkswagen Golf.
