The unique, limited-production Scion xB RS 6.0 makes its public debut at Detroit. It goes on sale in February at just over US$1,700 over the standard xB.
Scion's first limited-production car, the xB Release Series 6.0, will go on sale in February at a manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) of US$1,743 over the base xB. Only 2,500 units of the R.S. 6.0 are to be produced. The car comes exclusively in an exterior paint colour called Absolutely Red and will carry a lot of interior comfort features.
These features include a touch screen Pioneer Audio Visual Navigation (AVN) head-unit with flash memory and voice recognition. MSN Direct, Bluetooth, HD Radio-readiness, DVD, SD card slot and iPod connectivity are installed. Owners will get to customise the 5.8-inch LCD high-resolution screen from a selection of over 32,000 colours. The Absolute Red colour resonates inside the car where the door sills are R.S. 6.0-illuminated and the seat fabric is also tuned to this colour.
Another distinguishing feature is the unique front grille with custom black finish. An optional colour-coded rear spoiler worth US$320 is available as an add-on. The baseline xB R.S. 6.0 comes standard with a manual transmission and costs US$15,750. Its automatic twin is offered with an MSRP of $16,700.
The xB R.S. 6.0 will be shown at the North American Auto Show in Detroit starting at the beginning of next week.
