From a carbon fiber rear wing to a coilover suspension, there's something for everyone.

With around 1,300 items, the M Performance catalog is now bigger than ever, and BMW is currently showcasing in Essen some of the latest bits components tailored to a wide variety of models.

Take for example the M3 Sedan and M4 Coupe, both of which are going to be available from next summer with a fixed rear wing made entirely from carbon and adorned with the M stripes. You won’t have to wait until then to order a sports suspension with red coil springs as it’s already on sale and allows the driver to adjust the ride height of the M3 or M4 between 5 and 20 millimeters (0.2 to 0.8 inches). Also for the two, there’s a hand-crafted engine cover made from carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP), which according to BMW “ensures that fascinating motor racing look” once you pop the hood.

Elsewhere, there are a ton of accessories and some of them have been applied onto the M240i Convertible, which is celebrating its motor show debut these days in Essen. The car has received a fresh set of 19-inch, two-tone wheels, a black matte rear diffuser, and a new exhaust system equipped with carbon tailpipe trims to enhance the droptop’s sportiness. On the inside it gets an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel and even a race display, while a carbon fiber trim has been applied here and there to spice things up.

BMW will have on display at the Essen Motor Show until December 4 a total of eight vehicles, including the M2 MotoGP Safety Car. Also today, BMW unveiled the first M Performance components created for the new 5 Series G30, bringing interior and exterior tweaks as well as power hikes for the 530d, 530d xDrive, and the 540i.
