After months of hype, Jeremy Clarkson, James May, and Richard Hammond finally start The Grand Tour on Amazon Prime in just a few days on Friday, November 18. The show’s newest trailer offers yet another peek at the automotive action, including some fantastic looking stunts. Unfortunately, we can’t all be lucky enough to get an early preview like a fellow writer at Motor1.
The highlight of the latest clip is seeing May hanging out the window of an Audi while shooting an automatic weapon, and the bit concludes with a fiery explosion. It’s the type of automotive craziness that makes us look forward to The Grand Tour so much. We can’t wait to see what else the show's massive budget lets the guys do.
In addition, the trailer offers new looks at some of the stunts from earlier clips. For example, there’s a beautiful shot of the McLaren P1 kicking up sparks on the track with a Porsche 918 Spyder in close pursuit. There’s also a longer snippet of Clarkson driving an Alfa Romeo 4C Spider through an abandoned castle. We get to see a little more of Clarkson chasing down a catamaran.
Even after repeated teasers and the drawn out naming process, The Grand Tour still looks exciting. The show seems to be everything that makes the guys great on Top Gear but with more money to spend and no broadcasting rules to abide. Since many of the clips keep showing the same stunts, we suspect there’re still a lot of surprises ahead.
