Hyundai and Ark Performance have joined forces for a racy Elantra featuring a beefy body kit and extra power.

The latest Elantra has received a wide body conversion with a massive front splitter and huge air intakes to provide extra cooling for the upgraded engine. For the same purpose, ARK Performance and Hyundai have installed a vented hood to improve airflow and allow the powertrain to breathe better. Speaking of which, the engine has received a custom turbocharger with a new downpipe, exhaust, and wastegate.

In order to improve stability and match the extra grunt provided by the upgraded internals, the tuner has installed a custom coilover suspension, a front strut tower bar, as well as front and rear anti-roll bars. The car appears to be sitting a lot lower than the regular Elantra and it have also received a full vinyl wrap to make it SEMA-worthy. Changes continue on the side profile where we notice the bolt-on fender flares and enlarged side skirts to provide the Elantra a more muscular appearance. ARK has also added one of its sets of lightweight forged wheels shod in Nitto Tire NT05 summer tires and backed by enlarged brakes.

Hyundai is not showing us the back of the car for the moment, but the custom body kit likely has a few bits and pieces to make the Elantra’s rear end stand out more. ARK has also fiddled with the sedan’s interior cabin where there’s now a sport steering wheel and diamond-stitched upholstery.

The concept will debut at SEMA early next month in Las Vegas and will be exhibited alongside a radical Veloster Gurnade concept and a rugged Santa Fe modified by Rockstar Performance to better tackle the off road. The icing on the cake will be a downright insane 1,040-hp Santa Fe by Bisimoto featuring a bespoke 3.8-liter V6 engine sending power via a six-speed manual transmission to the rear wheels.
