Trailer Light Check and AroundView Monitor make towing easier.
Hauling a trailer behind your truck can be risky. Especially if you’re hauling something as valuable as, say, a miniature replica of the Heisman House with the real Heisman trophy inside (as seen in this TV commercial), you want to be sure your trailer is hooked up safely. Fortunately, this 2016 Nissan Titan XD makes things a little easier.
For starters, the Titan XD (as well as its half-ton Titan little brother) have a feature called Trailer Light Check. Usually it takes two people to verify your trailer’s lights are working, but with the Nissan, you simply press and hold the lock button on the key fob and all of the lights illuminate in sequence. The trucks also are offered with Nissan’s AroundView Monitor 360-degree camera, making it easy to spot obstacles as you maneuver in tight spaces.
With these safety features, as well as a 5.6-liter gasoline V8 cranking out 390 horsepower and 401 pound-feet of torque, this Titan XD makes towing easier. It’s still important, however, to make sure everything that you’re towing is carefully secured before hitting the road… See how it all works in this video of the 2016 Nissan Titan XD Pro-4X.
