The additional chrome parts should make these trucks shine when the light hits them right.
The new Texas Titan edition pickups lets Nissan celebrate the truck-loving Lone Star State by giving its models some extra style. Available on the standard Titan and Titan XD, the special vehicles debut their chrome parts at the State Fair of Texas.
The Texas Titans have extra swagger on the outside thanks to new trim pieces. The chrome parts for the inner grille and its surround immediately grab your eye. The 20-inch chrome wheels and matching exhaust tips also continue the gleaming look around the entire truck. A metallic-finish for the kick plates adds a final bit of bling to the pickups's exterior. Special floor mats and badging also advertise these models’ connection to the Lone Star State.
The Texas-themed package is available on Crew Cab models in the SV and SL trims of the Titan and Titan XD. Both the 4x4 and 4x2 drivetrains are available with this edition. XD customers can choose either the diesel 5.0-liter Cummins V8 with 310 horsepower (231 kilowatts) and 555 pound-feet (753 Newton-meters) of torque or the gasoline-fueled 5.6-liter Endurance V8 with 390 hp (291 kW) and 394 lb-ft (534 Nm). Only the Endurance engine is available with this package on the regular Titan.
The Texas Titan edition is not available on the recently announced Single Cab variants of the pickups. This body style features an eight-foot (2.44-meter) bed at the cost of a row of seats inside. Nissan intends these trucks more as a dedicated work vehicle. In contrast, the Crew Cab offers a combination of the extra room and hauling capability for use every day. The Single Cab goes on sale late in the fall.
Eventually, Nissan will also add a King Cab variant to the Titan lineup next year. These trucks will have even more room for the second row of occupants. The company won't yet release specific details about the new dimensions for them, though.
