It’s been six years since Toyota last introduced an all-new RAV4, and already the new crossover has proven a big hit at the New York Auto Show. By now you’ve hopefully read our news story and comparisons of the RAV4, as well as perused our photo gallery to see the new model inside and out. But what about the technical engineering changes under the skin? To find out a little bit more about the 2019 Toyota RAV4, I sat down with its chief engineer, Yoshikazu Saeki. Here’s what he told me.
