A new report from UK indicates Q by Aston Martin is working on a flagship sedan to bring back the "Lagonda" nameplate.
About a month ago, an Aston Martin representative confirmed the company is working on a coach built model but didn't specify when the car will actually come out. Now, CAR says the vehicle will be introduced by the end of the year and will represent the work of Q by Aston Martin, the firm's bespoke program.
It is believed Aston Martin will bring back the Lagonda moniker for this flagship sedan which will be built in less than 100 examples. Power is expected to come from the familiar V12 5.9-liter with around 600 bhp (447 kW) sent to the road through an upgraded eight-speed automatic transmission that will soon be offered in the Rapide and Vanquish.
Styling is said to mimic the original angular Lagonda of the 1970s and will ride on a stretched aluminum VH platform taken from the Aston Martin Rapide S.
