Chevrolet has announced plans to introduce the 2015 Tahoe and Suburban at a special event in New York City on September 12th.
The company declined to release details but the models are expected to be heavily influenced by the 2014 Silverado that was introduced earlier this year. This means engine options will likely include a 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V8 that develops 355 bhp (265 kW) and 383 lb-ft (518 Nm) of torque as well as a 6.2-liter EcoTec3 V8 with 420 bhp (313 kW) and 450 lb-ft (609 Nm) of torque.
Little else is known about the SUVs but spy photos have shown the models will have an evolutionary design with an upright grille and headlights that resemble their truck counterpart. We can also expect a more luxurious interior with higher quality materials and improved technology.
