Mercedes C190 / SLC AMG rendered [update]

The Mercedes SLC AMG is still shrouded in mystery but several purported pictures of the model have surfaced online.

Sent anonymously to Motoring Middle East, the images are reportedly brochure scans that reveal the model in full detail. We're not convinced but the pictures show a sleek coupe with LED-infused headlights and an SLS AMG-inspired front fascia. Moving further back, we can see ventilated front fenders, softly flowing surfaces and an aggressive rear end with a prominent diffuser and a dual exhaust system.

Engine options remain unconfirmed but previous reports have indicated there could be a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 that develops 485 HP (357 kW) and 550 HP (404 kW). There have also been rumors about a Black Series variant which could have as much as 585 HP (430 kW).

Little else is known about the model but it is expected to slot below the SLS AMG and cost approximately €109,000 ($144,905 / £94,405) when it is launched in 2015 or 2016.

Update: It looks like our doubts were well-founded as CatZura pointed out the picture is nothing more than an old rendering
