The new generation of the 2014 Suzuki Alto/Pixo has been captured on camera for the first time.
The current model was launched in 2008 so time has come for a replacement which will be based on the latest WagonR that came out in Japan last year. The car is expected to grow in size compared to the outgoing model and should gain additional equipment inside the cabin. The elongated wheelbase will provide more legroom for rear passengers, while the taller body should provide a more airy interior.
Depending on market, the Suzuki Alto is also sold as the Celerio, Nissan Pixo and as a Maruti Suzuki A-Star. These prototypes were seen testing somewhere in the south European mountains and in some of the photos we take a look at the rather modest 90s-like interior cabin.
Details about engine lineup are scarce at the moment, but some reports are indicating the new model will be offered with a two-cylinder, 800cc turbodiesel engine which will power other frugal Suzuki and Maruti small cars.
