Caterham has released a teaser photo and preliminary details about an upcoming entry-level Seven model.
Following a rumor which surfaced the web earlier this week, Caterham has officially announced a more affordable Seven which will cost less than 17,000 GBP (about 19,800 EUR or 25,900 USD). The car is being developed with a "super-compact, flexible and EU6-compliant engine".
The yet unnamed model promises to be the firm's most fuel-efficient car ever made. A full reveal will be made sometime this fall, but in the meantime Caterham will disclose additional specifications. Caterham's CEO Graham Macdonald said the new model "will be uncomplicated, easy to run and, most important of all, an intuitive and exciting drive."
Deliveries are programmed to kick off before the end of the year.
