The next generation of the MINI has been grabbed on camera once again, ahead of a public reveal scheduled for later this year.

Several days ago we published a few spy shots with the Cooper S and now we bring several pics of the regular model testing somewhere in Germany. The new generation of the MINI will be longer and wider than the outgoing model and is set to receive slimmer A-pillars, a longer hood and smaller front grille.

While exterior changes won't be that dramatic, the interior cabin will be significantly restyled. The most important modification will be the adoption of a traditional instrument cluster which will replace the center-mounted speedometer.

Engine lineup will include three-cylinder TwinPower mills and a 1.6-liter turbocharged gasoline mill for the Cooper S and JCW versions. The former will have around 178 bhp (132 kW), while the latter should get 217 bhp (162 kW).
