Ferrari F70 caught at the factory

Several new pictures of the Ferrari F70 have surfaced on the web.

Apparently taken while the model was under construction, the pictures give us our first glimpse at the supercar's interior. Unfortunately, there isn't much too see as many of the key components haven't been installed yet.

Regardless we can get a pretty good look at the car's carbon fiber monocoque chassis which is 20 percent lighter, 22 percent stiffer and 27 percent more rigid than the one used on the Enzo.

As we have previously reported, the F70 is expected to feature a 6.2-liter (6262cc) V12 engine and a HY-KERS petrol-electric hybrid system for a combined output of approximately 920 bhp (686 kW). This could enable the model to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in less than 2.5 seconds and hit a top speed in excess of 408 km/h (254 mph).

The F70 is expected to debut late this year or early next year, before going on sale in the spring of 2013.
