Cadillac working on several flagships - report

We've heard conflicting reports about Cadillac's flagship, but there could be a legitimate reason behind the confusion: the company is working on several different models.

The Detroit Bureau is reporting Cadillac won't go "product-for-product" with their German rivals, but rather offer a variety of flagships that target both "foundational" and "aspirational" niches. As an unidentified source put it, "One car can't do it anymore."

The multi-pronged approach could spread the development costs of the Omega platform that will underpin the brand's competitor to the Audi A8, BMW 7-Series and Mercedes S-Class. There's no word on what other flagships the brand is considering, but a Ciel-like convertible is a strong possibility.

Interestingly, the report indicates the Glamour concept will be shown at next year's Pebble Beach Concours D'Elegance despite recent teaser images.
