Next-generation Nissan GT-R in jeopardy - report

When Nissan introduced the GT-R at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show, it took the automotive world by storm. Undeniably powerful, the model had performance that rivaled cars costing three times as much.

Sadly, it appears the next-generation model is in jeopardy. Inside Line says development work hasn't started on a successor and CEO Carlos Ghosn might not approve it anyways.

It remains unclear why the company wouldn't follow up on such an important halo vehicle, but the website speculates declining sales and a focus on electric vehicles could be to blame.
