Fiat 500 with Ferrari V8 by Lazzarini Design

Lazzarini Design has released the first renderings of the 550 Italia.

Based on the Fiat 500, the model features an aerodynamic body kit with new bumpers, revised side skirts and a prominent rear wing. There's also a roof-mounted air intake, a dual exhaust system and a reinforced chassis.

Power comes from a rear-mounted, Ferrari-sourced 4.5-liter V8 engine that produces 550 PS (405 kW / 542 hp). It normally develops 570 PS (425 kW / 563 hp) in the 458 Italia, but Lazzarini detuned it to optimize traction.

The company is currently looking for an investor who is willing to spend $550,000 (€437,410) for the development of the "toy."
