Aston Martin is currently developing the next incarnation of their DBS supercar ready for an official launch during 2013. The identifier for the model has been kept secret until now but a short spy video by Car Magazine has revealed it will be called Vanquish.

The British marque produced the Vanquish between 2001 and 2007 before it was succeeded by the DBS. The latest development reveals the new label has only managed to survive one generation with the revival of its predecessor's name.

The model was recently previewed at the 2012 Concours d'Elegance Villa d'Este as the Aston Martin Project AM310 concept car. While no technical details were released, it was an opportunity for the company to gauge initial reaction of the design.

Aston Martin is expected to unveil the new Vanquish at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance event in California this August.
