2013 Opel Insignia facelift caught testing for first time

Technical updates are consigned to the rumormill at the moment. The least we should expect is some fuel economy busting tuning updates to its vast array of petrol and diesel engines.

The new Opel Insignia has been on the market since 2008 and it is time for the model to receive a mid-cycle facelift. Our spies have managed to catch a prototype while it was testing that displays a few of the changes we can expect.

The minimal camouflage attempts to hide the new front fascia where changes appear to be more focused on the bumper and restyled fog-lights. The rear will also see some changes dominated by the remodeled taillights.

Sales of the Opel Insignia are limited to the European market, but The US market will also see the changed further down the line in the Buick Regal.
