First Official Images of Lexus IS Facelift Emerge

New images of the model have now surfaced, after the Japanese automaker bypassed the more conventional method of releasing content through the press and posted the official photos on a number of its websites.

We got a first glimpse of the facelifted version of the Lexus IS last month when a few scans of the model's official brochure leaked out, the images were little more than teasers though, showing only small details of the model. New images of the model have now surfaced, after the Japanese automaker bypassed the more conventional method of releasing content through the press and posted the official photos on a number of its websites.

Blink and you may miss the new 2009 model, updates are kept to a minimum. The front bumper has received some minor changes giving it an aggressive spoiler type look, the side mirrors get an update too. Other changes previously reported on but unconfirmed include new 17 and 18in alloys, new exterior colors, and a new Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management (VDIM) stability control system.

We expect to see the model debut at the Paris Motor Show next month, therefore it shouldn't be too long before full official details are released.
