Audi's aggessive product offensive shows no sign of relenting after Johan de Nysschen, executive vice president of Audi of America revealed the German manufacturer is considering adding another supercar and a small SUV to the US lineup.

The small SUV will be similar to the Toytota Rav4 and will be marketed as a “lifestyle product”, meaning the Audi Q3 seems very much on the cards and will accompany the larger Q5 and Q7, although the final name may not carry the “Q” label. The supercar will of course be another variation of the successful R8 series, later this year we will first see the addition of the R8 V10 model and we expect a "targa" vriant to be added to the range in the not to distant future. Both products stay in line with the leaked Audi rollout schedule document worldcarfans.com reported on late last year which says both models will be launched next year.

On a downside for the US market, Johan did state the first generation Audi A1 would not make it Stateside, but the window is still open for future generations. He also added that there had been no decision yet on a new Audi production facility in the US, but Audi will be looking to extend their diesel offerings beyond the Q7 with the Audi A4 set to be first model in line.
