More space, more style.
Just a few weeks before its official debut at the Paris Motor Show, Germany let leak the handsome new Audi A5 Sportback, updated in its entirety inside and out. As with any arrival of a new Audi on the market, the internet becomes ablaze with speculation surrounding go-fast variations like the S5 and RS 5. Or in this case, the more family-focused Avant.
X-Tomi design created a concept that perfectly visualizes a possible wagon variant of the new Audi. The Audi A5 Avant concept is handsome in all the right ways. It uses the already sophisticated lines of the A5 Sportback and transforms them into a more usable rear. New high-spoke wheels add a touch of class to the mix, and a silver finish doesn’t hurt the overall aesthetic.
Sadly, the A5 Avant is just a concept at the moment - though, a concept we don’t doubt will eventually see production (at least in Europe). What we can look forward to in the immediate future, is the reveal of the new Audi A5 Sportback in Paris.
Under the hood, power options will range from 190 horsepower (140 kilowatts) to 354 horsepower (260 kilowatts) in its most powerful trim, with both a six-speed manual and an eight-speed tiptronic available. The A5 Sportback will arrive early in 2017 in Germany and across Europe with a starting price of €37,800 ($42,500).
