All show without the extra go.

A standalone luxury marque part of PSA, DS Automobiles is attempting to spice up its somewhat limited range with the new DS Performance Line. Despite its name, the new enhancements available across the lineup are all about cosmetic tweaks, without any actual mechanical upgrades for extra performance. You can have it on the DS3 & DS3 Cabrio, DS4, and DS5 models, with each available in specific colors and a contrasting black roof.

Also part of the package are fresh designs for alloy wheels that come with a black finish and Carmine Red center caps with the DS logo. The same hue has also been applied onto the door mirror caps and rear spoiler to better show off the brand’s signature colors which also include white and gold, in case you did not know. As a final touch to the exterior, DS Automobiles has added some fancy badges on the front doors and hood to let everyone know it’s not an ordinary model.

Stepping inside the cabin, all cars will be available with new cloth and leather upholsteries that you won’t be able to get with the standard models. In a bid to differentiate the cars, the stitching applied onto the seats, door panels, gear lever gaiter, and the leather-wrapped steering wheel will come in the brand’s signature colors. To further spice things up, DS will sell these cars with a bunch of metallic and chrome accents as well as LED interior lighting. All models are going to share the company’s latest seven-inch infotainment with support for MirrorLink and Apple CarPlay.

Created to ‘combine the spirit of the GT with refinement and the latest DS brand technologies,’ the new DS Performance Line can be had with a wide variety of gasoline and diesel engines, all of which are turbocharged. Depending on model, buyers get to pick from the three-cylinder PureTech 110 and 130 units and the beefier four-cylinder THP 165 and 210 engines. On the diesel side we find four BlueHDI mills with 100, 120, 150, and 180 hp. All engines have start & stop functionality to cut fuel consumption in city traffic, and depending on selection can be linked to either a six-speed manual gearbox or a six-speed automatic.

The DS Performance Line will be available in U.K. starting October, but there’s no word just about to the premium it will command over the regular model.
