Mercedes Teases Maybach Coupe Ahead Of Pebble Debut
What is Mercedes up to now? Well, if you look closely, you can make out the Maybach logo on the rear haunch of what looks like a stunning coupe concept. The above image was released via Mercedes' Twitter account at 10:10 AM on the 10th day of August. Are they trying to tell us something with that sequence of numbers? Will this car cost $1,010,108 dollars? Probably not, but because this is the internet, you can't rule it out! I'll be sure to dig for answers next week at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance where the concept will be revealed. RELATED: Mercedes-Maybach Planning Posh Three-Row SUV
If the buzz is to be believed, Mercedes is looking into creating a bespoke car business to compete with Rolls-Royce, Bentley and others. Personally, I think that top-tier AMG models equipped with Designo paint and leather already do a pretty good job of that, but there's always room for more at the top.
We'll find out for sure at Pebble Beach if this Maybach coupe comes to fruition. Let's just hope that this concept is as elegant and striking as one would expect it to be.
