New SVAutobiography Dynamic trim welcomes a 550-hp supercharged V8 5.0-liter.

First things first, the 2017 model year for the Range Rover lineup brings an expansion of the family with a new high-powered SVAutobiography Dynamic featuring a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine sourced from the Range Rover Sport SVR. It develops the same 550 horsepower (405 kilowatts) and 502 pound-feet (680 newton-meters) of torque which is enough to catapult the large SUV to 60 mph (96 kph) in only 5.1 seconds en route to a top speed of 140 mph (225 kph). You can only have it with an eight-speed automatic transmission developed by ZF which aims to deliver ‘seamless gear changes and supreme performance.’

As standard, the SVAutobiography Dynamic trim comes with the Dynamic Response and Adaptive Dynamics technologies providing better body control and handling to create a more agile SUV. In addition, you’ll be able to identify the version by its Graphite Atlas accents on the grille, hood, front bumper, side vents, and tailgate. For the first time on a Range Rover, customers will be given the opportunity to select red calipers and Brembo brakes. Land Rover has created three exterior body paints and will sell the high-performance SUV with a choice of 21- and 22-inch alloys.

Stepping inside the cabin, the 2017 Range Rover SVAutobiography Dynamic has received diamond-quilted leather seats with four choices of contrast stitching. Grand Black veneer adorns the dashboard and door casings, while the red accents spice up the cabin even more. As a final touch, the pedals, start/stop button, and the rotary shift controller come with a knurled finish.

In terms of pricing, the new member of the family costs £132,800 in United Kingdom and will go on sale locally in the fourth quarter of the year.

In other news, the 2017 Range Rover in U.K specification will be available from now on with a supercharged 3.0-liter V6 engine rated at 340 hp (250 kW) and 332 lb-ft (450 Nm) to grant a 0-60 mph (0-96 kph) sprint in 7.1 seconds and 248 g/km of CO2 emissions.

No less than 19 new colors are being added to the catalog and are going to be available in metallic, pearlescent, gloss, and satin matte finishes. On the inside, JLR has installed its latest InControl Touch Pro infotainment system hosting a 10-inch touchscreen display with support for live apps.

Technologies available for the 2017 model year include Rear Park Distance Control, Lane Departure Warning, Cruise Control, Speed Limiter, and Autonomous Emergency Braking. On top of that, buyers can spend extra and order the ‘Drive Pack' bringing Sign Recognition and Reverse Traffic Detection, Blind Spot Monitor, and Intelligent Speed Limiter working together with the Traffic Sign Recognition to automatically adjust speed.

On sale in Q4 2016, the updated Range Rover will carry a starting price in U.K of £76,350 for the base TDV6 Vogue variant.
