The Black Mamba is an 810-HP Electric Trike
Valene Motors is an company you've probably never heard of. They hail from Malta, and have big plans to build the fantastically crazy Black Mamba electric trike you see here. If they manage to pull it off, then this 810-horsepower electric monster could find a home in your driveway, hypothetically. Thinking along the same lines of the Morgan 3-Wheeler or Polaris Slingshot, the Valene Motors Black Mamba has two wheels in the front and a single wheel at the rear. Power comes from a lone electric motor at the rear wheel's hub with a choice of 15 kWh, 30 kWh, or 50 kWh battery packs. RELATED: See Photos of the 2015 Polaris Slingshot
Depending on the battery you choose, the range will be anywhere from 112 miles to 300 miles. It will have a steel spaceframe chassis with lightweight composite panels, so it will definitely be light—although, an exact number hasn't been released.
They have released other numbers, like a 0-62 mph time for the base 107-horsepower model of 4.2 seconds. If that's the base, then the 810-horsepower version ought to be just plain crazy. Details are scare as this is currently only a prototype. You can reserve your Valene Motors Black Mamba right now, although when and if it will make production is still a giant question mark.
