Abarth 1000 Bialbero Record Car
The Abarth 1000 Pininfarina Recrod was a vehicle designed and built in 1960 to participate in the Abarth factory's attempts to set a number of international and world speed records.
The 1000 Pininfarina Record was intended to compliment the more successful Monoposto da Record in the FIA's class G. With features such as headlights and larger air intakes, the 1000 Pininfarina Record was designed to be the more versatile of Abarth's two 1 litre record cars. The vehicle is based around the chassis of a Fiat 600 with an aerodynamic body designed by Pininfarina.
The Abarth 1000 Pininfarina Record was tested on Italy's Monza circuit and set a number of international records in 1960.
